The coaching conversation that's always with you.

Why LOAD exists, what it does and how it fits your training. A walk-through for early athletes and partners.

Why LOAD exists2 of 13

It started with my own race.

In 2026 I trained for the European Championships in Almere as a GB age-grouper, without a coach. I had my Garmin, TrainingPeaks, and a long-running AI conversation that I fed with my sessions, my niggles and my work weeks.

It gave me what I wanted from a coach: personal, always there, and willing to reason things through with me. But I was holding it together by hand, re-explaining myself and copying data across.

A GB teammate had built the same workaround on his own.

Two athletes, same fix, no product. LOAD is that coach, built properly.

The problem3 of 13

Plans are everywhere. Judgment isn't.

Every training app sells you a plan: generated, adaptive, personalised, but still a plan you follow. When life gets in the way, you're on your own again.

Free and downloaded plans£0
Training apps£15–30 / month
Human coach£200–300 / month
Real judgment only shows up at the top of the price ladder.
What a coach does4 of 13

What you actually pay a coach for.

A view

Someone who looks at your week and tells you what they think, including "don't".

Your whole situation

The knee, the job, the kids, how you respond to threshold blocks. Context no device records.

A memory

They remember last winter, and what happened the last time you stacked three hard days.

The idea5 of 13

LOAD is a coach you talk to.

Not another plan. It reads your training, knows your context, and reasons with you, from today's session to race day and everything in between.

Almere build, TuesdayExample conversation
Legs were heavy on this morning's threshold run and I've slept badly all week. Do I still do Saturday's long ride?
Your coach
Keep the ride, but not as written. You've stacked three hard days, and last winter this exact pattern came right before your calf flared. Ride it all in zone 2 and cut it to three hours.

Any question6 of 13

Any question. Any horizon.

One coach for everything, from a single session to a whole season. Always on, so you ask when it matters.

Today

"My legs are heavy. Do I still do the intervals?"

This week

"I'm travelling Wednesday to Friday. What do I move?"

Race week

"What should my carb-load look like for Saturday's 70.3?"

This season

"Do I race in May, or build for August?"

How it works7 of 13

Three steps to your coach.

  1. 1

    Create an Event Plan

Set up a plan for your race, like "Almere 2027". Everything for that goal lives there.

  2. 2

    Bring in your training

Upload your training files so the coach works from what you actually did.

  3. 3

    Talk to your coach

Start a conversation, or keep named threads like Nutrition. Browser or phone.

In beta, training comes in by file upload. Direct Garmin, TrainingPeaks, Wahoo and Strava connections come next.

Who it's for8 of 13

Built for athletes who've outgrown the plan.

Triathletes first, then runners and cyclists. Recognise yourself?

You coach yourself, and read your data

You want the reasoning, not a black box.

You had a coach, and miss them

You dropped them on cost. It's the relationship you lost.

Your week rarely goes to plan

Work, travel and family move things. Training should move too.

You're chasing a result

A qualifying time or a championship. You want more depth.

You've tried the template plans

They worked, until they didn't. They were never about you.

Not built for complete beginners, or for athletes happy with their coach. Keep them.

Your tools9 of 13

Keep your tools. Add a coach.

Nothing to migrate and nothing to relearn. Keep logging sessions the way you do now. LOAD sits on top and does the thinking.

What we believe11 of 13

How your coach behaves.

It shows its working

Every recommendation comes with the reasoning, so you can push back.

It will disagree with you

A coach that always says yes isn't coaching.

It knows its limits

Injury and health questions get pointed to a professional.

Coaches are allies

LOAD draws on established coaching principles. It isn't built against coaches.
